Generous Donation from Local Church for Visit Me Campaign

18th February 2020

We would like to say a huge thank you to Clayton Baptist Church, who recently donated a box full of essential items which will be used for our Visit Me Campaign.

The Visit Me campaign supports visits to those who are in hospital or care home or who have been recently bereaved, especially those who are completely alone and have no one to turn to. The scheme offers a visit to the hospital bed, with a bag of essential items and treats and a friendly face, or home visits when someone has lost a loved one.

Clayton Baptist Church gave the first mass donation for our Visit Me Campaign on the 15th January 2020. The generous donation consisted of several essential item?s packs including toiletries, combs, toothbrushes etc all hand packed by church members. The packs will help people feel more comfortable in their hour of need and will be greatly appreciated by those in hospital.

Being in the hospital, or being bereaved, is hard enough without doing it alone.  We want Visit Me to make a real difference to the lives of people who face life alone and believe that the Visit Me Campaign may become the biggest project Community Solutions has ever initiated.

If you would like to be a part of Visit Me you can:

  • Host a donation box in your workplace to collect items for our essentials pack
  • Become a Volunteer Visitor
  • Raise funds by hosting a fundraising event, taking part in a sponsored event or donating.
