Yesterday we held our very first online Volunteer Induction training, using the video conferencing system called ZOOM, and it was amazing! We plan on doing more online training soon so keep an eye out on our website and social media channels for more details.
We?re using ?Zoom? to host our training, it?s an app or software that can be installed on your laptop or tablet that?s free to use. It allows you to join our training via a video call, so you can interact with other learners and our trainer just like you would if you came to Elmfield Hall!
Once you have signed up to our training, you will receive an email with a link that you will need to click when the course is meant to begin. This will then take you to a screen in which you can type your name and join the video call. When you join the call, in the bottom left corner you will see ?Join Audio? click on it and it will connect you to the call so you can talk and can hear the trainer and other people on your course.
All you need to take part in our?online?training is a?laptop, computer?with a working webcam?and microphone?and access to the internet.
Here at Community Solutions, we are currently very busy helping people to feel less isolated and lonely both during the Coronavirus crisis and beyond. We?re always looking for new volunteers to join us so if you would like to join our team please complete a Volunteer Application form online and we will be in touch. If you?d like to know more about Volunteering with us, then why not read our ?How to be a Volunteer with CSNW? blog or call us on 01254 460080.
