Hi, I’m Jamye-lea and I have recently started working for Community Solutions, in Mr Gatty?s Tea Room. My Community Solutions journey started when I attended a Modern Slavery Course (one of the amazing, free training courses that we offer). From there I started volunteering, helping with the yearly Summer Fair and as part of the Heritage Art Group on a Friday morning.
I recently graduated from university, with a passion for all things creative. Community Solutions has given me the opportunity to develop myself and use my skills. I love being a part of the team. As well as my general duties within Mr Gatty?s Tea Room, I assist with our social media, competitions and promotions. I am excited to be contributing and developing new and fresh ideas for our food and drinks menus. From tasting days to try new products to corporate events, there is always something creative to keep me thinking!
Mr Gatty?s is such a welcoming environment, with a ray of smiley faces. We are so lucky to be based in Elmfield Hall, a beautiful location, with a fascinating community background and history. We are Accrington?s hidden gem!
With so much positivity in the building, why not call in, say hello and find out more about what we do over a cup of tea? I may even tempt you to try a slice of cake ?
