What We Do

Social Groups

Improving social wellbeing

We operate a social prescribing model of bringing people together to enjoy common interests and to increase a person?s health and wellbeing. Instead of needing to see your GP for social reasons, why not come along to our groups to help you feel less isolated, in touch with friends and to enjoying doing the things that make you happy.

Why Social
Groups?

  • Meet new people

Real Story

I was referred to the group by my mental health support worker. He told me how friendly and sociable it was but I was sceptical. I was at a really low place in my life and I was nervous about meeting new people. However I didn’t need to worry as right away I felt at home. It has changed my week and I have met many new friends. I have got a lot of things sorted at home because of help from volunteers in the group. I feel positive for the first time in years.
