Meet Jean, a beloved volunteer at Community Solutions North West. Jean has been a cornerstone of our community, often found at the reception of Elmfield Hall, welcoming visitors with a warm smile. In addition to her reception duties, she is an active volunteer befriender, providing companionship and support to those in need. Jean also leads our popular 'Purl in the Parlour' knitting group, where community members gather to knit, chat, and support each other. During the height of the pandemic, Jean focused more on her befriending role due to restrictions, ensuring that the people she supported continued to feel connected and valued. With the lifting of restrictions, we're delighted to have Jean back at Elmfield Hall, resuming her roles at reception and in the knitting group. It’s heartening to see her and our other volunteers returning, bringing life and energy back to our community spaces.
