Grief & Loss Cafe

Grief is a deeply personal journey, but it doesn’t have to be faced alone. The Grief & Loss Cafe offers a safe, understanding space where people can come together, share experiences, and find support from those who truly understand.

Whether your loss is recent or something you’ve carried for years, being around others who have experienced similar feelings can bring comfort and reassurance. There’s no pressure to talk, just a welcoming environment where you can connect, listen, and be heard at your own pace.

A space for support and connection

The Grief & Loss Cafe is open to anyone who is grieving or supporting someone through loss. Our informal gatherings provide a chance to meet others, gain insight from shared experiences, and take a break from the loneliness grief can bring. Held in the familiar surroundings of Mr Gatty’s Tea Room, the café is a place to relax with a brew and feel supported in a warm and understanding community.

You’re not alone

Whether you want to talk, listen, or simply be in the company of others who understand, you are always welcome. The café runs every other Thursday from 9am to 10:30am at Elmfield Hall, Gatty Park. It’s free to attend, and there’s no commitment, just come along when you feel ready.
